Youβre in the right place if..
Maybe your child holds everything together at school and falls apart when they get home.
Maybe getting dressed, leaving the house, going to school or moving through everyday routines can sometimes feel impossible.
Maybe youβve tried regulation strategies that should help, but they donβt.
Or maybe youβve been from professional to professional and youβre still looking for someone who truly understands your child.
Sometimes we need to stop asking, βHow do we change this behaviour?β and start asking, βWhat is making this so hard right now?β
Your child does not need to be fixed.
They need to feel safe, understood and supported.
My approach to Occupational Therapy looks beyond what we can see on the outside.
I want to understand the whole child- their nervous system, motor skills, environment, communication, autonomy, strengths and the things that matter to them.
Because when we understand why something is difficult, we can begin creating support that actually fits.
My core philosophy
-

Safety changes capacity.
When nervous systems feel safe, access to communication, connection, and daily life increases.
-

Regulation cannot be forced.
Connection, predictability, sensory safety, and autonomy support regulation far more effectively than pressure or compliance-based approaches.
-

Reduced access is not refusal.
When capacity reduces, communication, flexibility, and participation become harder to access.
